Hi, I’m Candra!
For over 20 years, I’ve been studying anatomy, the systems of the body and movement therapy. Candra Smith has studied anatomy, the systems of the body & movement therapy. The allure of the mountains brought me here to Western North Carolina where I became certified as a Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist and Ayurveda Health Counselor.
I’ve adored the years spent with my clients offering massage and yoga, and I thought about how great it would be if I got to really spend more extended time with people to integrate all of the things that I’ve found to contribute to my own personal health and wellbeing: yoga, Ayurveda, hiking, eating clean, connection to nature, and meditation to name a few. My life’s journey has been about removing obstacles and suffering to allow me to connect with my higher self.
It is challenging at times in day-to-day life to create change and establish healthy habits. I believe it is necessary to find immersive experiences where one can dive deep into self-care. It can become a kickstart or an inspiration into even a brief moment of what it means to connect with your higher self. It may sound esoteric or like a “nice” thing, but it is absolutely available to everyone. We all have so much potential to be a better version of ourselves, and my goal is to shine the light on that for others.
Yoga, massage and Ayurveda have been three core focal points in my career.
I have been studying yoga for 16 years and it has absolutely, without a doubt, changed my life. I owe everything to the practice of yoga and I am honored and humbled that this study has been my dharma.
Using my hands to help people find relief from pain has been so rewarding and I love being a vessel of healing and care.
My 5-year study of Ayurveda has helped me tap into the subtle. It is such a diverse practice, with so many tools that it feels like an endless well of insight and knowledge.
Ayurveda has brought so much health to my life. It has improved my awareness of my thoughts, moods, and emotions. It has improved my digestive system. It has brought forward my inner glow, both physically and spiritually. It has taught me to move with the seasons and to be a great observer of nature and my relationship to it. It has also allowed me to practice deep forgiveness both with myself and others and it has empowered me to remove all that was not serving me towards greatness.
I have so much passion for this work and for sharing it with others. I look forward to welcoming guests to our magical wellness center in November…I hope you choose to join us!
