Candra Smith has been studying anatomy, the systems of the body and movement therapy for 20 years. After graduating from UNCW with a degree in Exercise Science, she made her way to Western North Carolina due to her growing love of the mountains and its infinite beauty.
Candra received her 230-hour certification as a Yoga Instructor at the Asheville Yoga Center in 2006 and 500-hour certification at the NC School of Yoga in 2010. Candra feels both honored and humbled to share the wisdom of Yoga.
In 2007 Candra received her certification for Massage Therapy from the Asheville School of massage and Yoga and has continued her education in reflexology, cranio-sacral therapy and advanced deep therapeutic modalities. She has been offering her services in both Waynesville and Maggie Valley since 2007.
Candra Smith completed the 650-hour Ayurvedic program in 2017 from the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga. In 2022, she became certified as a Panchakarma therapist influenced by the SVA lineage through the Maharini Academy in Santa Barbara, CA. She has continued her Ayurvedic studies online with classes in Ayurvedic cooking, vastu, and reading the face as a diagnostic tool.
As the founder of Maggie Valley Wellness Center, Candra is thrilled to do the work she loves in a beautiful natural setting with an amazing and advanced group of practitioners.
