Elijah is a new arrival to Maggie Valley. Because of newfound relationships and a love for the mountains, he moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in October 2020.
In 2019, Elijah graduated through the Honors Program of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with an undergraduate degree in German and creative writing. As a graduation requirement of the UWO Honors Program, he wrote an honors senior thesis which he completed and presented in the Fall of 2019. Upon further revisions, his thesis, which investigates a modern film adaptation of the lesser-known Grimm fairy tale “The Maiden Without Hands”, would ultimately be selected for publication in volume XV of the University’s academic journal, the Oshkosh Scholar. In the future, he hopes to continue his studies into graduate school/study abroad and possibly pursue a professorship in German studies or a career in writing and editing.
Outside of German studies, Elijah has multiple passion projects, including music, jewelry making, and meditation.
